The Romanian Police, the National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC), the Romanian Banks Association (ARB) and Ascendia, company specialized in the development of e-learning solutions, launches, in the framework of the National Digital Education and Cyber Security Project #SecurityOnline, six e-learning courses. The courses will be available free of charge to children, parents and teachers, with the main objective of the initiative being to increase preparedness to avoid the main online threats and to properly manage the risks of using the internet.

New campaign "Protection through education: digital security" aims to make a real difference in the community by disseminating these extremely useful online educational lessons free of charge. The main objective of the initiative is for every member of the community to become more aware of online security risks and to equip themselves with the necessary tools and knowledge to surf the internet safely.

Campaign partners have developed both essential courses for pupils aged 7-14 (Money security on the internet, Internet addiction, Prevent child pornography and Online data management) as well as courses for teachers, parents and those concerned with children's education (Cyber security - general access and Children's digital security).

By completing these modules, participants will acquire a package of essential online security knowledge needed to protect themselves from the most serious threats. Learners will add to their knowledge of effective ways to protect money and sensitive data when surfing the internet, and students will be able to see what preventative measures are needed to avoid becoming victims of child pornography. Young people will also be informed about the causes and impact of internet addiction.
