Editable sources for over 422 lessons
from the project "Relevant Curriculum, Open Education for All - CRED"
are now launched on LIVRESQ
LIVRESQ, the largest educational content creation platform in Romania, launches the most important support functionality for teachers.
Every teacher can, from now on, to reuse the source of any LIVRESQ lesson in the platform's public library, if the authors have given their consent. The first materials for which this functionality has already been activated are Open Educational Resources (OER) developed on LIVRESQ by the e-learning experts of the CRED Project of the Ministry of Education.
In the virtual library of the LIVRESQ platform (library.livresq.com) can be found over 19,600 interactive educational materials, of which 5,974 public, 422 CRED R.E.D. materials and 548 materials approved by the Ministry of Education. All these materials are published by teachers for use both in the classroom and at home. From now on, creative teachers can also choose to publish the sources of the materials they have developed. With the new functionality, not only the final product can be reused, but also its source as a basis for creating new educational materials.
"The LIVRESQ platform was one of the few Made in Romania educational applications that offered teachers a free tool for developing digital educational resources. Many of the R.E.D. experts in the CRED project use this platform to realize educational content as an open educational resource. So far, almost 10% of the resources realized in CRED have been developed using LIVRESQ, which shows that it is a feasible, intuitive and suitable platform for building educational resources." said Liviu Constandache, R.E.D. coordinator within the CRED project of the Ministry of Education.
"The principle of reuse in e-Learning says that you don't always have to start from scratch when developing educational material, but you can start with a base already validated by other experts and then have the chance to improve it. This reduces development time and increases the quality of the final material. Easy sharing and re-use of the source is a big step forward to increase the quality of digital learning." said Alex Malureanu, Co-Founder of Ascendia S.A.
Introducing the first premium CRED lesson templates developed by the LIVRESQ team. With the help of the templates, teachers will produce open educational materials, which will then be published on the LIVRESQ platform, which includes collections of multimedia lessons to serve as best practice models for each curriculum area/discipline of study, for different levels of education.
