Romanian Police, National Cyber Security Directorate (D.N.S.C.), Romanian Association of Banks (A.R.B.) and Ascendia (LIVRESQ creator), a company specialized in the development of e-learning solutions, launches a new edition of the campaign "Protection through Education - Digital Security", so all six e-learning courses become available free of charge for copies, adults and entrepreneurs or employees in SMEsfrom March 14 to June 21, 2024.

The partners of the national project #SecurityOnline have successfully completed the first edition of the "Protection through Education - Digital Security" campaign, which has reached around 16,000 course users in a month and a half. Those interested in the e-learning courses are invited to register to access them by filling in the registration form at https://formare.elearning.ro/register .

The initiative aims to educate teachers, students and parents, as well as employees and employers in Romanian SMEs, about cybersecurity and to increase their preparedness to avoid the main online threats and to properly manage the risks when using the internet.

The six e-learning courses were initially available from October 31, 2023 to December 15, 2023 and were designed so that users acquire essential knowledge and skills for safe surfing on the internet.

The courses were divided into two audiences, Cybersecurity - General Access and Children's Digital Security were dedicated to adults, including entrepreneurs, while Money Safety on the Internet, Internet Addiction, Child Pornography Prevention and Online Data Management were designed for children aged 7-14.

In the courses, users can learn about how internet addiction affects them and what causes it, how to manage their personal data to stay safe on the internet, how to protect themselves from becoming victims of child pornography, what they can do to protect their money and personal data when using the internet, and also what are the responsibilities of adults and what they can do to limit the dangers to children.

In its first edition, the campaign saw an impressive number of users, with a total of 15,928 people signing up, including 5,430 teachers, 9,216 students and 1,282 parents.

The large number of hits demonstrates the community's real commitment and interest in this vital topic. In addition, many of the teachers enrolled have gone through the four children's courses with their students in class. This has made the actual number of pupils benefiting much higher through the multiplier effect.

The campaign has not only enriched participants' knowledge, but has also demonstrated the effectiveness and power of digital education in building a more cybersecurity-savvy community.

In an expanding digital world, through the courses, the partners have been able to improve the digital literacy of thousands of people, strengthening a safer digital future for all.
