Ascendia and InfoCons successfully conclude the first session of the "First Aid, a Chance to Life" campaign
Ascendia, a leading provider of digital learning solutions, and InfoCons, a non-governmental organization that defends consumer rights and promotes consumer education, have successfully concluded the campaign "First Aid, a Chance to Life" in partnership with the Bucharest-Ilfov Ambulance Service, the National Federation of Ambulance Romania, the Bucharest Rescue Society Association and the National Federation of Parents - Edupart (FNP).
The first session of the campaign was aimed at school staff and aimed to increase their level of emergency preparedness. As part of the partnership, Ascendia was responsible for providing the e-learning first aid course free of charge.
"The "First Aid, a Chance to Life" campaign was an important step towards raising awareness about the importance of giving first aid in an emergency. According to market studies, 801TPTP6T of Romanians do not know how to give first aid in case of need, and this puts our country last in Europe in this vital area. We are extremely pleased to have had the opportunity to be involved in such a project and to have been able to contribute to raising the level of first aid training. At Ascendia, such projects motivate us, as we know only too well the huge potential that online education can have at community level. We are willing to continue to be involved in such initiatives by developing various e-learning courses that can do good for our community", said Alex Mălureanu, Ascendia co-founder and CMO.
The campaign ran from June 20 to July 31, 2023, and Ascendia developed an e-learning first aid course, through which staff from educational institutions benefited from easy access to vital information to make a difference in emergency situations. The course was divided into three distinct modules, which covered various aspects of first aid, such as intervening in cardio-respiratory arrest, airway obstruction, use of defibrillator, management of special situations such as burns, fractures, syncope or epilepsy. Intervention in internal or external bleeding was also covered.
More than 5,600 people from the education sector signed up for this first session of the campaign to go through the interactive first aid course. They praised the course for the quality of its content, the engaging interaction and the flexibility offered by the e-learning platform on which the courses were delivered.
Ascendia aims to expand such initiatives in the future to reach as many educational institutions as possible. The company aims to support them in acquiring essential skills of community interest and contribute meaningfully to the good of society.
Ascendia also carried out a study outlining how they organized the campaign and what worked to achieve these results. See the study here.
